Greensboro’s Canter Power Systems Named #1 Generator Installer in the United States for the Second Year in a Row

GREENSBORO, NC, January 29, 2018 – Canter Power Systems announced today that it had once again been named Generac Dealer of the Year, beating out more than 5,000 Generac dealers in the US. For two consecutive years, Canter had the highest gross sales of Generac generators by any single location dealership earning them this prestigious award in 2016, and again in 2017.

Canter is an industry leader in reliable, automatic standby generator system sales, installation, service, and maintenance throughout the southeast United States. However, Canter’s humble beginnings started in 1948, in Greensboro. With initially only a pickup truck and a roll of wire, founder Glen W. Canter brought power to businesses and residential areas in the Piedmont Triad.

“Power has been a passion of my family since my uncle began connecting customers to North Carolina’s energy grid,” said Kenneth Canter, owner and president of Canter Power Systems. “As a family owned business, we know how important it is to keep the power on for your family and remain committed to providing reliable power to our customers.”

Recent winter storms in North Carolina have highlighted the need for automatic home standby generator systems. Canter knows, that when a storm hits and the power goes out, customers count on their generators to kick in. In order to ensure reliability, Canter employs certified generator specialists to install all of their residential standby generators.
